THE HORSES
A combination of Thoroughbreds, Arabs, and South African Boerperds have been trained in both western and english riding styles. You have the choice of English, South African McClellan's and Australian stock saddles.

SAMPLE ITINERARY
Because the rides are dependent upon tide activity in Vilanculos, the days are very flexible, and a power boat follows along the coast on the rides for riders safety and to ride as long as your legs allow.

Transfer from Vilanculos Airport to Archipelago Sun Resort in time for lunch and an introductory ride. Your afternoon can be spent along the beach before a fresh seafood dinner.

During the week, you will ride along deserted beaches and over high cliffs for a chance at spotting dolphins. You ride along the coast towards Vilanculos Wildlife Sanctuary where scattered lakes and wetlands intermingle with native woodlands and mangrove forests. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant where the traditional dish of "peri-peri" chicken is served. Sail a dhow through the Bazaruto Archipelago to the Island of Benguerra, where you will be greeted with azure waters, sandy beaches, palm trees, and coral reefs. Here you can snorkel before a beach picnic and look for whales, dolphins, and turtles. Because there is a permanent stable on the island, you can ride new horses across 100 meter sand dunes, freshwater lakes, and mangrove swamps. Upon your return, you can ride to new areas before your final day where you swim with the horses in inland lakes, explore coconut palms, and climb rugged cliffs.

THE ARCHIPELAGO SUN RESORT
18 chalets, sleeping 6 people each are scattered along the outskirts of Vilanculos. They come with fully equipped kitchens, en-suite showers, one bedroom with two single beds with a separate shower, and a mezzanine floor with two more beds.
