Along with the wonderful gardens surrounding the main house, Hacienda Manteles encompasses a 200 hectare area of protected primary forest that borders the entrance to Llanganates National Park. The forest is home to an abundance of wild orchids that are native to the area. 16 cozy rooms offer guests a home away from home complete with ensuite bathrooms, hot water, wood burning stoves, and individual decor.
Located in the main house, the dining room maintains the original style of the hacienda. Dishes feature both a local and international combination of flavors created by a local chef.
Mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, and trekking are all offered within the area near Hacienda Manteles. Banos itself is an adventure region with opportunities to visit waterfalls, atv rides, white water rafting, bird watching, canyoning, cooking lessons, and of course relaxing in the hot springs that have made the region so popular.
