Australia- Suggested Itineraries

City, Outback and Wildlife

Day 1. Departing the USA.

Day 2. Crossing the international dateline results in the loss of a day.

Day 3. Upon arriving into Sydney, you will be transferred to your city accommodation. Some of the great accommodation options include The Observatory Park and The Russell B&B. As the beauty of Sydney’s harbour starts to reveal itself, you undertake a Sydney Harbour Yacht Cruise. Sail around the harbours unique foreshore and world famous harbour. Experience a day of relaxation, sunshine, and gourmet lunch.

Day 4. After your unforgettable day on the water, it is time to visit the local wildlife and climb on Australia’s most popular icons. Known as the Breakfast with the Kangaroos Tour you will head to a specialist wildlife park in the Blue Mountains where you can roam amongst wild kangaroos, whilst your breakfast is being prepared. Once the food has settled, its time to head back to Sydney, to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The BridgeClimb is a once in a lifetime experience, where you can enjoy a 360-degree of Sydney and its surrounds.

Day 5. As you wake to the views of Sydney Harbour through your window, today you are in store for one of the most extensive day tours available. The Full Day Air Safari provides guests with an opportunity to explore many of Sydney’s most beautiful destinations…all in one day. See the Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley, working cattle station, and the NSW Coastline. Upon returning to Sydney you will be transferred to your accommodation.

Day 6. What better way to start of the day, than to discover the history and culture that makes the city of Sydney so great. A morning Harbour Rocks Walking Tour is a personal and extremely informative journey into the city of Sydney. The Rocks Walking Tour brings alive the story of the early convict settlement while entertaining visitors with stories of Rascals, Rats, and Restoration. At the completion of the tour, you will transfer to Sydney Airport where you will board a REX Airline flight bound for Broken Hill. Broken Hill or otherwise known as "the Gateway to the Outback" will be your point of rest for the night.

Day 7-10. As the sun rises over the outback lands, you rise for a day of exploration. Today you be undertaking a Flinders Ranges and Clare Valley Tour.

Day 10. After travelling from Broken Hill and having many memorable experiences in the Flinders Ranges and Clare Valley, you will arrive into Adelaide this evening. There are many great places to stay in Adelaide, but the North Adelaide Heritage Apartments are beautiful, unique and highly recommended.

Day 11-13. After a leisurely breakfast it is time to transfer to the airport where you will board your flight to Kangaroo Island. Upon arrival into this natural haven, the 3-Day Kangaroo Island Wanderer tour awaits. Explore the beauty and wildlife of the region, whilst enjoying excellent food, wine and accommodation along the way.

Day 13. Upon completion of the 3-Day tour, you will be transferred to you flight back to Adelaide, where your charming North Adelaide Heritage apartments accommodation awaits.

Day 14. After an excellent time in Australia, you will be transferred early in the morning to Adelaide Airport, where you will board your connecting flight, bound for the USA.

Day 6. After an early rise you will be transferred for your morning flight to Alice Springs. There are many options for accommodation in Alice Springs, but Alice Springs Resort is a popular choice for many travellers.

Day 7-9. After breakfast you will begin a 3 Day Red Centre Eco Tour. Departing from your accommodation you will experience the isolation of the Red Centre, along with the unique ecological and cultural values unique to Central Australia.

Day 9. After 3 magical days in the Red Centre you will arrive at Ayers Rock in the early evening. What a trip… why not celebrate your adventures with a Sounds of Silence dinner, operating from your accommodation Ayres Rock Resort

Day 10. Today its time to discover the rock, get your very first view of this magical sight and fill the stomach at the same time with an early morning Aboriginal Sunrise Tour. Spend the morning around the rock and around midday you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cairns. Once arriving in Cairns you will be transferred to your accommodation, for a well-earned nights rest. Some of the recommended properties include The Cairns International, or Kewarra Beach Resort

Day 11-14. Today brings the opportunity for you to have your first experience with the Great Barrier Reef. Explore the expanse of reefs stretching 345,000 square kilometres, and the amazing sea creatures that it contains. There are many Cruising, Snorkelling and Dive Options available.

Day 14. After spending 3 days out on the reef you will return to Cairns, usually late in the afternoon. Spend the night exploring the town of Cairns or simply relax in your accommodation.

Day 15. With your last full day in Australia playing on your mind, you wake today with the chance to explore the famous rainforest. Heading out on a Full Day Wooroonoran Rainforest Hike your naturalist guide will lead you on an interesting walk through the untouched rainforest wilderness. At the completion of the days hike you will be transferred back to your accommodation.

Day 16. A morning transfer will take you from your accommodation to the airport for you connecting flight back home to the USA.

Day 6. Upon arriving into Melbourne, you will be transferred to your accommodation, either the Lindrum Hotel or the Magnolia Court. Once the accommodation has been settled its time to explore this great cosmopolitan city, on a Half Day City Tour. See historical buildings, beautiful gardens, and shopping areas famous for their restaurants and fashion. Travel past the sporting precinct that became famous in the 1956 Olympic games and now roars to the cheers of Aussie Rules crowds each weekend. After the tour has completed you will return to your Hotel in order to get ready for one on the most unique dinning experiences available. Upon boarding the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant you will notice that this dining experience is different than anything you could imagine.

Day 7-8. After a magnificent night wining and dining around Melbourne, today brings the 2-Day Savannah Walkabout Adventure. Experience and learn about the Native Australian wildlife and Aboriginal heritage. A naturalist guide will unveil the native wildlife and lead you through the wide -open spaces of Australia. As the marvellous day draws to an end you will be transferred to a charming little B&B in the town of Geelong. Take in the hospitality, and simply relax in this quiet part of Victoria

Day 8. After a night in the outskirts of Melbourne, you will be transferred into Melbourne for your flight to Launceston (Tasmania). Upon arriving in Launceston a rental car will be waiting for a beautiful self-drive journey to Cradle Mountain National Park.

Day 8-10. Your accommodation for the next two nights will be at Cradle Mountain Lodge. Famous for being a unique wilderness retreat on the edge of the World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain/Lake St. Clair National Park Tasmania. The lodge provides a superb escape with cosy cabins, breathtaking scenery and fine cuisine.

Day 10. After the indulgence of Cradle Mountain, you will jump back in the rental car and undertake the drive to Hobart. Enjoy the fantastic scenery along the way, and eventually arrive at your Hobart accommodation, The Henry Jones Art Hotel. Have the night to explore Hobart, and the local hospitality.

Day 11. An early start to the day gives way to an excellent cycling tour in the Mt Field National Park. Great for a quick escape or simply a beautiful ride, this day tour will give you an insight into the beautiful surrounds of Hobart. Explore the city and its nature, and return to the comfort of your accommodation.

Day 12. Biding farewell to Hobart, you head to the Freycinet Peninsula for 2 nights. Two great places to stay include Freycinet Lodge, or the Piermont Retreat Swansea. Arriving in the mid afternoon, you have the chance to settle into your accommodation before undertaking the Freycinet Twilight Paddle. Experience natural adventure and discover one of Australia’s oldest and most spectacular coastal national parks.

Day 13. Upon waking in the comforts of your accommodation, the day is yours to explore the area. Take a hike to beautiful Wineglass bay, or enjoy the beach and National Park.

Day 14. After a true adventure in Australia, you will head to Launceston where you can drop the car and board connecting flights bound for the USA

Day 6. Departing from your Sydney accommodation, you will be transferred to the airport for an early flight to Brisbane. Upon arrival into Brisbane, you will undertake the 5-Day Southern World Heritage Package.

Day 6-10: After a short train connecting you will board the catamaran bound for Fraser Island. You will spend 5 days exploring some of Australia’s most beautiful island and rainforest vegetation. Known as the " Two wonders in one package" couples will explore the beauty of the World Heritage Listed Lamington National Park and Fraser Island.

Day 10. Upon completion of the 5-Day package you will return to Brisbane and spend the night in the very elegant Conrad Treasury Hotel. You have the rest of the afternoon to explore the city or stroll the banks of the river.

Day 11. From Rainforest to Reef today brings the excitement of travelling to one of Australia’s most treasured islands, Heron Island. With an early morning flight out of Brisbane, guests will arrive at Gladstone for a ferry transfer over to the island.

Day 11-14. Arriving at Heron, you have this true island paradise to do as little or as much as you like. Blessed with perfect beaches and surrounded by some of the most untouched marine life in the world, this gem of an island will simply complete your vacation.

Day 14. With a ferry and flight transfer into Gladstone and Brisbane, you will board your flight bound for the USA.
