 Australia by Experience: Unique Great Barrier Reef Exeriences: Fitzroy Island Sea Kayaking Explore the untouched nature of Fitzroy Island, from the view of a Kayak. You can paddle through the crystal clear waters that, and admire the beautiful marine life below. Once arriving at Fitzroy you can wonder through the rainforest vegetation and feel like you are in complete paradise.
The adventure begins with a short catamaran ride out to the island, which departs from Marlin Jetty Cairns. In just under 45 min you will set foot on the island and embark on your guided sea kayaking tour. The tour will take you to places that are only accessible by water, and give you an insight into the untouched areas of Fitzroy Island.
To take a break from exploring, as lunch will be taken at Little Fitzroy Island, a small island off main Fitzroy, where you will have the opportunity to take a walk to the lighthouse to admire the spectacular view. After this you will have the afternoon to snorkel among the tropical fish and colorful coral or just laze about in the sun.
Departs daily from Cairns at 8.30am and returns at 5.45pm.
