ACCOMMODATION

The Island contains 81 rooms featuring a balcony or patio, private bathroom, hair dryer, tea & coffee making facilities ceiling fans refrigerator & clock radio. To help guests leave the outside world behind, televisions & telephones are not found in guest rooms, but are available in the guest departure lounge.

DIVING

The island is truly a diver's paradise in every sense of the word. Guests can participate in night dives, which are conducted every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Heron also offers Adventure Diving, whereby guests can board a specially designed runabout and be taken to some of the most isolated diving locations in Australia. The expeditions are always different, so the sense of discovery and exploration are alive in each dive. So for every level of diving from the most experienced to the least, the island can provide any level of diving experience that you desire.

ACTIVITIES

Complimentary activities that are included on the island include interpretive reef walks, island ecology walks, bird life walk, turtle nesting tours (nesting peak times), wildlife presentations, beach picnic hampers, snorkeling lessons (in the swimming pool), tennis, reef creature interpretative workshops, research station walks, guided glass bottom kayaking trips, and nightly entertainment.

Other activities (charges apply) include snorkeling excursions to the reefs edge, Heron Kids Junior Ranger Program, semi-submersible coral viewing cruises, Scuba Diving, Night Dives, Adventure Dives, Discover Scuba, 6 day Open Water Dive Course, Learn to Dive Course, fishing trips, scenic helicopter flights, full day BBQ cruise to Wilson Island, sunset wine and cheese cruises, wine and cheese tasting, therapeutic massage.
