Australia: The Rainforest: Night Rainforest & Wildlife Tour
The trip climbs its way to the elevated Atherton Tablelands where the first stop is a country restaurant for an evening meal. Once nightfall has set-in you will head into the Rainforest covered mountains in pursuit of experiencing the magic in ancient forests. The experienced Guides, talk guests through local history, soils, geography, environment, indigenous people, plants & Wildlife, with their passion for nature showing through as they help guests with spotting Wildlife. Sightings typically include Lumholtz's Tree Kangaroo (occasionally), Lemuroid, Green & Herbert River Ringtail Possums & many other unusual mammals (sometimes Australia's famous "Duck Billed" Platypus), insects (including Glow-worms [& luminescent fungus] - seasonal) & amphibians some found only here.
