Australia: The Rainforest - World Heritage Rainforest Experience

The World Heritage listed Border Ranges National Park, Australia's most spectacular rainforest, is the perfect day trip out of Brisbane.

The full day takes you through the Tweed Valley and the second largest extinct shield volcano caldera in the World, dominated by the volcanic plug of Mt Warning - Australia's highest Easterly Mountain. This region has the highest level of bio-diversity in Australia, with the most bird and macropod species (wallaby and kangaroo) in the country.

Drive through lush green pastures, then 1100 metres up into the Tweed Ranges where you can bask in the shadows of history under 3000 year old Antarctic Beech trees and the oldest Pine species in Australia dating back to the Jurassic period.
