Australia: 11 and 14 Day Cycling the Outback
Experience the peaceful isolation and harsh beauty of Central Australia, riding all the way from Alice Springs to Coober Pedy along some of the most fascinating remote outback trails. Heading southeast from Alice, the Old Andado Track cuts a tangent through the western side of the Simpson Desert, miles away from any other paths. Rejuvenate your tired body in the curative mineral waters of Dalhousie Hot Springs, the halfway point.
The Far Northern outback of SA features a network of mostly reasonable dirt roads, where riders can follow certain lines along this expansive landscape. Riders have two options available to them, each with different durations and distances. The longer ride 14-day ride covers 920kms from Alice Springs to Coober Pedy. For those who have a little less time, there is the 11-day option, which covers 700kms from Alice Springs to Oodnadatta.
For more personalised touring, the groups are limited to a minimum 6 and a maximum of 20. Support vehicles accompany the group for the duration of the journey into the wilderness.
