Travel Adventures in New Zealand
Fiordland:
Half and One Day Tours

Te Anau Half Day Half Day 4WD
Be collected from Te Anau accommodation and transferred to begin your 3.5 hours of four wheel fun ride. All safety equipment, wet weather gear and full instructions provided for your complete enjoyment. From Te Anau you will ride through flat and gently rolling paddocks. As you go, you have the chance to experience sheep and deer farming close up. The tour winds through Te Anau’s back country passing an historic musterers’ hut. The climb to the summit on Danby Hill is a bit more challenging but as you reach the crest the view will take your breath away, as you can see all the way from Lake Manapouri up Lake Te Anau and around to the Mavora Valley. The trip back down will give you a chance to play round then across farm paddocks and for the fast riders a fast dash home.

Te Anau Milford Sound Sea Kayaking
You will enjoy the awesome mountain scenery along the Milford Road. Begin your 4-5 hours of spectacular Sea Kayaking in the fiord beneath dramatic sheer cliffs, classic Mitre Peak, waterfalls, meeting friendly fur seals, often Fiordland crested penguins and sometimes playful dolphins. Stop for lunch on a beach, weather permitting. Included are experienced guides, double kayaks, packed lunch, wetsuit vests, paddle jacket, life jacket, neoprene spray deck, paddle, gear bag, camera bag, snacks and morning tea.

Routeburn Track Encounter
Sir Edmund Hillary conqueror of Mt Everest described the Routeburn as one of the most superb walking areas in the world. The day begins with drive along the rugged shoreline of Lake Wakatipu to a short stop at Glenorchy before reaching the Routeburn Shelter. From here it's a leisurely 6.5 kilometres (4 mile) walk to Routeburn Flats following the river through the native bush and then across a large alpine meadow. From here climb 300 metres (980 ft) over 3 kilometres (1.9 miles) to the famous Routeburn Falls. The walk to the waterfall can be a challenge and anyone not wanting to walk this section can remain on Routeburn Flat and explore the first part of the trail to Routeburn Falls.

Milford Track Encounter
Depart Te Anau at 9.30am by coach to Te Anau Downs. From here cross Lake Te Anau to the Glade Wharf to start maximum of 10 kilometres guided walk on the famous Milford Track in the Fiordland National Park. Walk through ancient beech forest beside the Clinton River to Hirere Falls. On the return journey there is optional climb 120 metres to vantage point with great views over Lake Te Anau. Lunch and snacks are included. Arrive back in Te Anau around 6.30pm.
