Patagonia

Overview:

Rugged landscapes, endless adventures, Chilean culture, and outstanding gastronomy are all found on this luxury adventure through Torres Del Paine National Park. You’ll stay in two distinct regions of Torres del Paine. From the vast eastern plains where the iconic Paine Massif frames grasslands favored by herds of guanaco, sheep-grazed estancias, and the elusive puma. Then head to the west where views of Los Cuernos, or “The Horns,” can be appreciated beneath famous hiking trails and glacial lakes. Whether strenuous full day hikes, horseback riding, wildlife safari, or immersing in gaucho culture are your preferred pace, this experience can be tailored to your ability level and interests. Friendly, and laid-back, Chilean heritage is as much about its food and wine as it is about the gaucho culture, settler history, and indigenous story.

2 NIGHTS CERRO GUIDO

The oldest estancia in Chile has evolved to become a leader in luxury and conservation, preserving Chilean gaucho heritage and where understated architecture elevates breathtaking views of Las Torres. Here, you can immerse in a working estancia where conservation is an essential component to their livestock program. Conservation safaris, horseback riding, hiking trails far from the beaten path, fly fishing, and estancia history are all on the menu. Full days will be complemented by fine Chilean cuisine and wine curated by the in-house sommelier.

4 NIGHTS PATAGONIA CAMP

This eco camp is the vision of Chilean nature lovers who wanted to give luxurious outdoor experiences to visitors. The first in South America to use luxury tents, this is an immersion in nature with privileged views of Los Cuernos from private ensuite yurts connected by boardwalks that meander through the native evergreen forest with minimal impact. Access Torres del Paine with respite from the crowds and activities on the property. Guided excursions include hiking iconic trails such as French Valley or endless off the beaten path trails, kayaking, fishing, and more.  Dining at Patagonia Camp is a journey into the Chilean heritage using fresh seasonal ingredients paired with organic wine from Viῆa Matetic.

EXTENSIONS

Depending on the arrival time into Santiago, it is easy to add a night or two to the wine regions or quirky coastal town of Valparaiso. Chile spans an impressive range of latitudes and elevations, so combinations with Torres del Paine can include birdwatching or fly fishing in the lakes district, cruising through the fjords of Tierra del Fuego to the bottom of the continent where humpback whales and penguin colonies find refuge in the summers. You can easily continue by land crossing into Argentine Patagonia for even more hiking and glacial landscapes. It’s just a matter of time and interest!
